Login is clunky for non-SSO users

Hi, the recent change to login has made logging in very clunky if you're not using SSO. The experience used to be that my username was already populated and I could quickly click through to the system. Now, the username field is blank each time, I have to enter it fresh and then click again to enter password, then click again to select account, before I get to the system.
Therefore is it possible to have a non-SSO approach that makes it easier like it was before?

Jon (Product Manager @Evaluagent): Hi Jon, thank you so much for addressing this so quickly, the updated login experience for non-SSO users has significantly improved and working perfectly, thank you once again.

Pete I: That's great to hear Pete, glad the improvements are working for you. It is critical we get this bit of the platform right as it impacts everyone!
Keep the feedback coming. Thanks

Hi Pete
Can I just clarify a couple of details with you to help us better explore some of the options here.
When you previously used the older style login, were you saving your username and password via the browser and/or password management tool?
And in using the platform now what browser (and its version) are you using. For example Microsoft Edge Version 108.0.1462.76 (Official build) (64-bit) - you can normally see the version of the browser from the help/about menu option in the browser itself.
Many thanks

Jon (Product Manager @Evaluagent): Hi Jon. yes, the browser was saving the login details for me. I'm using Chrome Version 109.0.5414.74 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Sorry for all the questions! But keen to ensure we refine this solution in the right way so we don't lose the benefits for SSO users but also remove the friction for non-SSO users too!
I'm exploring a few options at present with the engineering team, one of which is to make retaining of usernames and/or passwords from the browser work seamlessly. In other words your experience would be:
1) Land on the login page, your username is entered automatically via the browser
2) You click continue
3) You are presented with the password page - where your password is entered automatically by the browser
4) you click to progress so you can choose your contract etc
Does this approach resolve some of the friction in your view or is this still too many clicks? Appreciate its still more than the original, but trying to find a middle ground
The second approach is to revert back to a single page with username and password on it - the assumption is that the browser would autofill these for you and you would click to then select your contract etc. This does however mean that the login journey for SSO would not be viable as it currently works - so would need a different approach.
Welcome your thoughts on this.
Many thanks

Jon (Product Manager @Evaluagent): Hi Jon, your suggested approach would certainly be an improvement, thank you. I don't think we need to revert back if you can deliver the experience you described.

Pete I: Hi Pete
We've just released a small update to the login process that should enable you to utilise the browsers username and password vaults to populate these fields again for you.
Would you mind letting me know how you get on and if these changes to the code remove the friction you were getting?
Many thanks

Hi Pete
We will revisit this to see if we can redress the balance and remove some of the extra steps. Looks like we've over engineered it possibly for SSO users and that's impacting the experience for non-SSO. I'll talk to our engineering team to see what we can do to make this much easier for you. Thanks Jon
